Ingredients
  

  • For the Rice Balls:
  • 1 cup glutinous rice flour
  • 1/2 cup water adjust as needed
  • Food coloring optional, for colorful rice balls
  • For the Coconut Milk Soup:
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup sugar adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sweet potatoes diced (optional)
  • 1 cup ripe jackfruit sliced (optional)
  • 1/2 cup tapioca pearls optional, for added texture

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, mix the water and glutinous rice flour until it forms a smooth dough. For colorful rice balls, separate the dough and add food coloring.
  • Roll the dough into small-sized balls, around an inch wide. Keep it aside.
  • In a pot, mix the sugar, water, coconut milk and salt. Heat over the normal flame until the sugar dissolves completely.

  • Then, add the rice balls to the pot and let them simmer until they float on the surface, highlighting they are cooked.
  • Sliced the jackruit and put it into the pot and cook for few more minutes
