Baked Rockfish Recipe

Bakedrockfish is prepared by seasoning rockfish fillet and cooking it in the oven.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 rockfish fillets about 1.5 pounds total
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice about 1 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika optional, for color
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices for serving

Instructions
 

  • Set the temperature of the oven to 375 F (190 C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • In a little bowl, mix olive oil, lemon zest, garlic, lemon juice, salt, pepper, oregano, thyme and paprika. It will be the marinade of the fish.
  • Put the rockfish fillet on the prepared baking sheet. Brush all over with the marinade to ensure it is evenly coated.
  • Bake in the oven until the fish turns white and the flakes easily with a fork, it may take around 15-20 minutes. The extract baking time depends on your thickness of the fillet.
  • Once you cooked the rockfish, remove it from the oven and top it with chopped parsley and slices of lemon. It’s time to serve.
