Crawfish bread is a delicious meal that mixes crawfish with bread. It is famous southern recipe, especially in the Louisiana and is popular for its delicious, spicy filling.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
  • 1 cup cooked crawfish tails chopped if large
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic about 3 cloves
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Cajun seasoning or to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley for garnish, optional

Instructions
 

  • Set the temperature of the oven to 375 F (190 C).
  • For two long bread pieces, slice it half lengthwise. Put them on a baking sheet with the cut sides facing up.
  • In a bowl, mix together cooked crawfish tails, mozzarella cheese, cheddar cheese, minced garlic, green onions, sour cream, mayonnaise, Cajun seasoning, lemon juice, paprika, salt and pepper until everything is thoroughly blended.
  • Now, evenly spread the crawfish mixture over the cut sides of the bread.
  • Bake in the oven until the bread is crispy and the cheese is melted, it take around 15-20 minutes.
  • Remove it from the oven and let it cool completely. If you want, you can also sprinkle chopped parsley.
  • It’s time to slice and serve.
