First of all, crush the chocolate cookies into little pieces. You can either do it using a food processor or by putting them in a bag and then crushing them. Keep ¼ cup of crushed cookie aside for decoration.
In a medium-sized bowl, mix the crushed cookies with melted butter until thoroughly mixed.
Press the cookie mixture into the bottom and sides of a pie dish for the crust. You can also use your finger or a spoon to press it evenly. Now, put the crust in the fridge for cooling while you are working on the filling.
In a large bowl, mix the powdered sugar and softened cream cheese until it is creamy and smooth.
In a separate large bowl, mix the cold milk and instant chocolate pudding powder until the mixture becomes thick, it may take around 2 minutes.
Mix the pudding into the cream cheese until it is thoroughly combined.
Carefully fold in the thawed whipped topping until evenly blended.
Put the prepared filling into the cookie crust by spreading it evenly.
Now, sprinkle the leftover cookie crumbs over the top of the pie for a dirt like look.
You can also decorate the pie with gummy worms for a garden like look.
Place the pie in the refrigerator for a minimum of 4 hours or until firm.
It’s time to serve the dirt pie.
