Hot Honey Sauce Recipe
Hot honey sauce is a tasty condiment which combines the sweetness of honey with a spicy twist from hot spices or chili peppers.

- 1/2 cup honey
- 1-2 tablespoons hot sauce such as Frank's RedHot, Sriracha, or your favorite hot sauce
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar optional, for a tangy kick
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes optional, for extra heat
- 1 clove garlic minced (optional, for extra flavor)
In a little-sized saucepan, add the honey and heat over low flame. Mix occassionally to avoid burning.
Once the honey is warm (avoid boiling), you can mix in your choice of hot sauce. You can begin with one tablespoon and then adjust according to your preference.
For a zesty flavor, you can add apple cider vinegar. If you want a bit more heat, you can mix in the minced garlic or crushed red pepper flakes.
Allow the mixture cook for around 2-3 minutes by mixing occassionally to enusre everything is well mixed.
Once the flavors are mixed and the sauce become thickened, remove it from the flame. Let it cool at room temperature before drizziling over your favourite dishes.
