How to Make Japanese BBQ Sauce Recipe

- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sake Japanese rice wine
- 1/4 cup mirin sweet rice wine
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds toasted
- 1 tablespoon grated apple or pear for sweetness
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
First of all, mix the mirin, sake, soy sauce, and sugar in a saucepan overnormal heat.
Make sure to stir the mixture until the sugar is dissolved.
Mix toasted sesame seeds, chopped garlic or any other ingredient of your preference like rice vinegar, ginger, grated apple or sesame oil.
Now heat the sauce over medium heat for around 5 to 7 minutes until thesauce becomes thick and flavors blend together.
Take of the saucepan from the heat and allow it to cool at room temperature.
If you want a smoother sauce, you can filter it to remove any solid bits.
Once it is cooled, the sauce is ready to use.
