Curtido Recipe
Curtido is an importantcomponent of Salvadoran cuisine, tangy and slightly spicy pickled cabbage slaw.

- 1 carrot shredded
- 1 medium onion chopped
- 1 Jalapeno pepper seeded and chopped
- 1 head green cabbage shredded
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
In a large bowl, add cabbage, onion, carrot, jalapeno pepper and salt.
In another bowl, mix water and apple cider vinegar.
After adding the vinegar mixture over cabbage mixture, toss to coat.
Now just cover the bowl and allow the curtido sit at room temperature for at least 24 hrs and up to a week.
