Ingredients
  

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 big onion finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cans diced tomatoes undrained
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 2 cans kidney beans drained and rinsed
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon oregano dried
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon  black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream and chopped green onions chopped

Instructions
 

  • In a big pan over normal heat cook the ground beef, as it cooks break it into little pieces. Eliminate the extra fat.
  • Now, add the beef and chopped onions in a pan and cook until onions are seen through. Now just add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • If you’re using a stovetop, transfer the onions, garlic, browned beef to a large pot.
  • Now it’s time to place the diced tomatoes (undrained), kidney beans (drained) and tomato paste into the paste.
  • Add the beef broth, salt, black pepper, dried oregano, cumin, paprika, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Mix everything thoroughly.
  • If you are using a crockpot, allow it to cook on low foraround 6-8 hours or high for around 3-4 hours. If using a stovetop, simmer on low for minimum 1-2 hours and make sure to stir it occasssionally.
  • Place the chili in the bowls and add shredded cheese, a dollop of sour cream and green onions (chopped) from the top.
