  • For the Crab Salad:
  • 8 oz fresh or canned lump crab meat picked over for shells
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped chives or green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • For the Sandwich:
  • 4 slices of good-quality bread such as sourdough, ciabatta, or brioche
  • 1 tablespoon butter softened (optional, for toasting the bread)
