Matzo crack also known as matzo crunch or matzo brittle is a tasty and crispy snackthat is prepared with matzo crackers, brown sugar, butter and chocolate.

Ingredients
  

  • 4-5 sheets of matzo crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter ormargarine
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolatechips
  • chopped nuts, sea salt, shredded coconut

Instructions
 

  • Set the temperature of the oven to 350 F (175 C). Place thealuminum foil or parchment paper on the baking sheet.
  • Now, arrange the matzo crackers in a single layer on thebaking sheet. You can also break them if required to fit the pan.
  • In a medium-sized saucepan, melt the butter over mediumheat. Once melted,  add the brown sugar andmake sure to stir until thoroughly combined.
  • Heat the butter and sugar mixture in a pan, stir continuously.Allow it to boil for 3-4 minutes until it thickens like a caramel.
  • Pour the warm caramel mixture over the matzo crackers, andmake sure to spread it evenly using a spatula.
  • Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 10-12minutes until the caramel turns golden brown and bubbly.
  • Remove the baking sheet from the oven and sprinkle somechocolate chips evenly on the caramel covered matzo.
  • Allow the chocolate chips to rest for few minutes until soften. You can use a spatula or spoon back to spread the chocolate evenlyon the matzo.
